Renamed "DIGITAL WEEK" after seven editions of "INTERNET WEEK", DIGITAL WEEK is now the flagship event of the digital economy sector in Benin.
The 2019 edition of the DIGITAL WEEK was organized by the Minister in charge of Digital and Digitization Ms. Aurélie ADAM SOULE ZOUMAROU with the support of the Smart Afrika Alliance. From November 12 to 16, 2019, it brought together several participants from here and elsewhere.
It was a ceremony attended by several members of the government, among which we can quote the representative of the Head of State in the person of Mr. Abdoulaye Bio TCHANE who presided over the launch of the ceremony followed by the organizer, Mrs Adam Soulé ZOUMAROU.
The particularity of this year is the holding of certain activities in cities inside Benin such as Porto-Novo, Avrankou and Natitingou noted one of the speakers; also that the various digital actions and projects implemented by the government will only have an effect if the citizens that we are make good use of them to thus develop digital reflexes on a daily basis, says the representative of the Head of State .
This edition saw the participation of several Startups gathered in various stands at the Tech village initiated as part of the digital week in order to present their solutions to the public. Among other companies, one really caught the attention of the participants, it is SLI AFRIKA through its IoT (Internet of Things) solutions which fit well with the digital revolution underway in Benin.
